Nestled among the roots of an old tree by the edge of the stream, is a small mushling home. It is very simple, almost tent-like, with leaves draped carefully over a stick frame. Inside there is only a small bed of moss. This suits the mushling who dwells there just fine though, as she just retreats to her shelter to sleep, and even then, only if the weather is especially unfriendly.
Naia spends most of her days by the water’s edge, perched on rocks, or dangling her tiny feet into the stream when it isn’t too cold. She enjoys the cheerful sound of the water as it babbles over stones on its way through the enchanted woods.
The little mushling enjoys her quiet, contemplative existence. She knows well the value of peaceful moments to the soul, and they are the gift she offers those fortunate few who happen upon her.
With tender warmth, she welcomes you to tarry a while, letting go of your cares, and surrendering to the peace of simply being, if only for a moment.

‘Oh come, dear friend, and sit a while with me.
Among stones, and moss, and fallen leaves.
By the water’s edge, where the green ferns grow,
Or by the ice beneath the winter snow.
Linger with me and simply be,
Give in to peace and tranquility.
Let your troubles go, let them drift beyond reach,
And in their place, may you find only peace.’
